Give woman in village an alternative source of income. Handmade tote bag made from used rice sack.
This project aims to educate the locals about how second life products can be made from reclaimed materials or wastes that would otherwise be incinerated. For instance, discarded rice sacks can be refurbished and transformed into multipurpose handbags.
We will work with woman in the nearby village of Tumbulawa, especially widowed woman who have skills and a strong will to create a social enterprise.
Things we need to prepare:
·         Used rice sacks
·         Sewing kit
·         Bag handles
·         Wage for in woman in the villages for making the bags.
·         Prepare online platform for promotion and sales.
